Llorà House

New-build single-family house in Llorà, in the municipality of Sant Martí de Llémena (Girona).

The house is laid out on a single storey under a gabled timber roof. The daytime area opens at both ends onto two porches, one at the front and one at the back, so that from the living room the garden can be seen in both directions and the landscape runs right through the house.

The porches give shade from the summer sun, extend outdoor living and act as a threshold between inside and out. The large glazed openings blur the boundary: life in the house looks out onto the landscape.
