L’Écluse de Saint-Ferréol is a place with a singular atmosphere.
The verticality of the trees divides the landscape, creates overlapping shadows and allows different depths to be perceived. In a modest way, we wanted to make visible, for a brief moment, this timeless dialogue between the motionless verticality of the trees and the shifting horizontality of the river. They were the essence of our project.
The idea of the hut speaks to us in particular: it takes us back to our childhood and evokes a certain simplicity, reflected both in the technique and in the materials used to build it. All these elements come together in our proposal.
